Okay, I admit I have a love/hate relationship with Kashi. The company does have something going for them, what with the promotion of whole grains and healthy eating, but I think they really need to step it up with organics. Having three types of organic cereal just doesn't cut it for me, not to mention their products can be pretty costly. If I'm going to break the bank buying quality food, I want it to be organic!
Anyway, they have been advertising free samples of GoLean Crunch! on tv lately so I figured "Hey, it's free and natural, so okay." I signed up for my sample and was told it would take four to six weeks to receive the tiny serving of cereal. I thought that was a bummer, but then only about a week later, I received my little package from Kashi.
What did I think of the cereal? It was pleasant, and I would eat it on a regular basis if it were organic and soy-free. It was crunchy (as it should be) and tasted great with plain yogurt. It also boasts eight grams of fiber and nine grams of protein which are keys to satiety. All in all, it tastes fine.
Since I have the option to buy organic cereal (I'm a fan of organic high fiber Trade Joe O's) I probably won't be buying myself a box of GoLean Crunch!, but you can get your own free sample from Kashi and decide for yourself.
