The Emphasis on Organics in Trinidad

"n a bid to secure food security in Trinidad and Tobago, Government will be placing emphasis on organic farming.

"We are very aware of the worldwide increase in the occurrence of certain diseases like cancer, hypertension and obesity, scientifically proven as related to the excessive use of certain chemicals in food production. We are therefore placing emphasis on organic farming and are establishing demonstration farms in strategic locations in our country," Prime Minister Patrick Manning said at the weekend."
