Recall: Health Valley Granola Bars May Be Contaminated by Salmonella

"As reported in a Food and Drug Administration press release, Lovin Oven, the manufacturer of Health Valley Granola bars has performed a voluntary recall on several of its flavors.

The voluntary recall is based on the potential of certain flavors being contaminated with the bacterium Salmonella.
The types of granola bars affected are Organic Peanut Crunch, Dutch Apple and Wildberry Chewy. The one thing in common as far as ingredients is that these bars contain organic toasted soy grits supplied by Thumb Oilseed Producers Cooperative of Ubly, MI.
This follows a recall by another granola bar manufacturer; because of the use of ingredients supplied by Thumb Oilseed Producers Cooperative."
