Market keeps organic prices high, not farmers, expert says

"Organically grown grain usually fetches a few dollars more per bushel than conventionally grown grain, but it's not a reward for harder work, says an organic farming expert.

"The marketplace doesn't give organic grain farmers a premium because they spend more time in the field rotating crops and getting their hands dirty," said Ted Quaday, communications director of the California-based Organic Farming Research Foundation."
