United Natural Foods 3Q profit climbs 16 percent

"United Natural Foods Inc. said Wednesday that its third-quarter net income rose 16 percent as sales grew.

The distributor of natural, organic and specialty foods earned $19.5 million, or 45 cents per share, for the three-month period that ended May 1.

That compares with net income of $16.8 million, or 39 cents per share, during the same period the previous year."
