Seeds of Change Executive Honored by OTA

"Seeds of Change(R), an industry leader in the sustainability of organic agriculture practices worldwide, is pleased to announce the Organic Trade Association's recognition of Seeds of Change/Mars Incorporated's executive Dr. Howard-Yana Shapiro as a pioneer in the development and promotion of innovative organic farming practices and the education and conversion of farmers to organic agriculture. Today, in conjunction with the 2007 All Things Organic(TM) Conference and Trade Show in Chicago, Ill., the Organic Trade Association (OTA) will award Shapiro its Organic Leadership Award-Outstanding Individual Achievement in acknowledgement of the important impact his work has had on expanding the practice of organic farming around the world.

"Howard's expertise has been essential not only for the development and growth of Seeds of Change, but for the advancement of sustainable agriculture and organic farming as a whole," said Mark Koide, president of Seeds of Change.
