"John Wood II said many people shy away from organic food because they think it's too "complicated," but nothing could be further from the truth. "There's this mystique about organic food, but it's really pretty simple. It's all about where it came from and how it's grown," said Mr. Wood, who owns The Green Grocer in Portsmouth along with his wife, Aly Marks-Wood.
The couple formerly operated Harvest Natural Foods in Newport. Their new store, which opened three weeks ago, sells only 100-percent natural and organic foods and products. It carries fresh produce, meat, dairy products, frozen and canned goods, granola mixes and large-bulk selections of grains, beans, seeds, dried fruits and nuts."
