Katherine Anne Confections to Introduce Eco-Friendly Truffles

"Katherine Anne Confections, a specialty handmade confections provider committed to going green, will soon be available at Whole Foods Market locations across Illinois. Whole Foods Market, the world’s leading natural and organic retailer, is introducing Katherine Anne Confections in all its Illinois stores during the month of May.

“Katherine Anne Confections and Whole Foods Market are a perfect match” says Katherine Duncan, owner of Katherine-Anne Confections. “Both companies believe in being green, using sustainable resources and are wholeheartedly in support of fairly traded products.”

Some of the ways Katherine-Anne Confections has reduced its carbon footprint are:
Using handmade packaging that is created by a fair-trade workshop of artisans in the Philippines.
The boxes are constructed from tree-free paper that is created from a renewable long grass that grows yearly.
The boxes (excluding the peek-a-boo window) are 100% biodegradable and recyclable.
Brochure and day-to-day use paper are at least 30% post-consumer recycled paper. In addition, the paper for the brochures is FSC certified and chlorine free."
