Organics May Cost Less Than You Think

"It’s no secret that food prices worldwide have risen dramatically over the past two years pushed up partly by the rising cost of oil.

However, organically grown foods costs have changed comparatively less than many “commercially” grown/manufactured foods. As a result consumers are reaping the benefits of buying organic, generally said to be tops for taste, texture and nutrition and containing more nutrients and anti-oxidants whilst avoiding preservatives, chemicals and additives.

What’s more consumers increasingly want to know where food comes from, how it’s grown and what it contains with a growing global trend in first world countries for grocery shoppers to buy a blend of non organic and organic products."
