Don't expect big changes as Whole Foods takes helm of Greenlife

"That appears to be the approach of Whole Foods Market to its recent purchase of the privately held Greenlife Grocery stores in Asheville and Chattanooga, Tenn. The sale, which closed last week, makes Greenlife a part of the 280-store, publicly traded Whole Foods store chain based in Austin, Texas. It's a company that had $8 billion in sales last year.

But nothing's really changed at Greenlife. The buskers still strum at the front door. The parking lot's still crammed with cars. And there's organic food of all sorts on the shelves."
