Organicgirl fourth company to recall leafy greens in Ma

"Another leafy greens shipper — the fourth this month — has recalled a product over bacterial contamination fears.

And the number of people sickened in an earlier outbreak has risen to 28.

Salinas, Calif.-based Organicgirl Produce LLC has recalled 336 cases of its 10-ounce baby spinach packs with a use-by date of May 22, according to a May 27 news release posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s Web site.

The recall was issued after a package of the company’s baby spinach tested positive for salmonella in a random sample test conducted by a third-party laboratory for FDA."
