"EIGHT concerts, seven continents, and an auspicious date: 7.7.07. These are the numbers behind Live Earth, a multi-national 24-hour series of concerts in New York, London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hamburg. The global event is set to bring together over 100 artistes and two billion people to answer the call to save a “climate in crisis”.
Live Earth is the brainchild of Kevin Wall, the worldwide executive producer of Live 8 which united one of the largest audiences in history to combat poverty in July 2005.
